At ClipCast, we strive to provide a seamless experience for all our users. To help you better plan your content processing and publishing, we want to clarify how our system handles minutes renewal and episode processing times.
Minutes Renewal Schedule
ClipCast minutes renew on the last day of each month at 5 PM EST, and they will renew no later than 6 PM EST. This means that your account will be refreshed with new minutes at this specific time, ensuring you have the resources you need to continue creating and publishing your episodes.
Understanding UTC and Processing Times
Our software currently operates on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which can impact how processing times are recorded. Specifically, any episodes processed after 5 PM EST could be considered as occurring on the next day in UTC.
For example:
- If you process an episode on March 4th at 5 PM EST, the system will register it as being processed on March 5th.
- This may result in the episode showing a publish date of March 5th, even though it was processed on March 4th in your local time.
Planning Ahead
To avoid any confusion or delays, we recommend planning your episode processing and publishing with these timeframes in mind. If you are working on content near the end of the month, it’s a good idea to process episodes at least two days prior to the last day of the month. This ensures that you won’t run into any issues with minutes renewal or unexpected date changes.
We hope this information helps you better manage your ClipCast account and content schedule. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
